The ÖBB 1010 was an electric locomotive series originally designed as an express train locomotive Austrian Federal Railways. For decades, locomotives were an important mainstay of the electric railway operation of the ÖBB. The Austrian Federal Railways planned in the post-war period after the most important main connections could be driven again at 120 km/h and were electrified, new ones procurement of electric locomotives.
