The Ford Kuga is Ford's first European model in the popular SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) segment. In 2008 Ford presented the Kuga as a compact SUV in Geneva, a successor to the Ford Maverick. In 2011, the Americans presented the second product generation, which is marketed in North America under the name Escape. The market launch in Europe took place in March 2013.At the end of 2016, Ford gave the Kuga a facelift, in which the front and rear were revised and numerous assistance systems were introduced. This version could be ordered from the end of 2016 and was launched in early 2017. For the first time, the Ford Kuga was also available in the luxurious Vignale variant and in the sporty ST version. Built on the same platform as the 2011 Ford Focus, the European Kuga will be built at Ford's plant in Spain near Valencia. It got all 5 stars in the Euro NCAP crash test.
