Properties of the S-DEC-4

For digital control of:

up to four two-coil magnetic articles (e.g., switches or signals)

up to eight single coil magnetic articles (e.g., uncoupler tracks)

Up to four permanent power switches [DSU] (for example, for turnout and street lighting etc.)

The decoder receives the switching current either from the digital circuit or via its separate input directly from the AC output (12 to 18V ~) of a model railroad transformer. This saves expensive digital power.

Simple and safe connection of turnouts, signals or uncoupler tracks via screw terminals.

S-DEC-4 is a 4x decoder with self-learning decoder address:

You simply press the S-DEC-4 programming button and then a button on the points control desk or enter a switching command via a PC with an INTERFACE connected and the decoder address is set.

The decoder address is stored permanently, but you can change it at any time by pressing the programming key: It could not be easier!

As ready-to-use prefabricated module, as finished unit in housing or as kit on 86 * 76 mm large PCB with four mounting holes available (suitable mounting material can be found under accessories).All 4 decoder outputs are rated up to 1 ampere. This makes it possible to switch even difficult turnouts. It is also possible to switch two switches simultaneously or one switch and one signal at the same time.With the S-DEC-4-DC for the DCC data format, the turnouts can now also be set via the function keys F1 to F4 of locomotive addresses (eg Lokmaus 2® and R3® from Roco)!
