Products description
In Austria, the white posts found along the roadside are officially referred to as *Leitpflöcke* (delineator posts). They serve to mark the boundaries of the roadway and help drivers better discern the course of the road in darkness or adverse weather conditions. Their legal basis and installation are governed by Section 57 of the Austrian Road Traffic Act (*Straßenverkehrsordnung* – StVO) and, in greater detail, by the RVS 05.02.21 guideline. Austrian roadside delineators (guide posts) feature several distinct characteristics compared to those in other countries (such as Germany):
Shape and Construction
Rectangular profile: Unlike the triangular, beveled models common in Germany, standard Austrian roadside delineators have a largely rectangular cross-section.
Cap: They are typically made of white, UV-stabilized plastic (low-density polyethylene) and feature a characteristic black cap at the top.
Reflectors (Night-time Markers)
Visual guidance at night is based on a simple color system modeled after vehicle lighting:
On the right-hand side of the road: A red reflector (symbolizing the taillights of a vehicle ahead).
On the left-hand side of the road: A white reflector (symbolizing the headlights of oncoming traffic).
Spacing
Standard sections: On straight rural roads and motorways in Austria, delineators are typically placed at intervals of 33 meters (compared to 50 meters in Germany).
Curves: In areas with blind curves or tight bends, this spacing is significantly reduced—depending on the radius of the curve—to provide a continuous indication of the road's alignment.

The model is produced using 3D printing technology.
