Products description
Signal light with LED
In the traffic regulations of the German-speaking countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland traffic traffic is different. For example, it is referred to as a traffic facility in Germany in accordance with section 43 of the Road Traffic Ordinance (Road Traffic Ordinance) as a lighting system (LZA).
The designation "Light Signaling System" (LSA) is used in the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations (§ 39) and in the signaling ordinance (SSV) to the Swiss Road Traffic Act.
The term "light-signal system" used in the German Road Traffic Code has a legally different meaning in Austria since, according to the Austrian Railways Act, it refers only to railroad crossings.
Traffic lights are used at junctions or junctions (junctions) for the following reasons:
The facility can be used to optimize traffic flow. In the case of high traffic densities, for example in the case of several lanes per direction, traffic light systems allow the best control of traffic throughput.
They can help to mitigate the dangers of complex or confusing intersections. In the case of nodal points with more than four directions, the regulation with road signs can be unclear or unclear and lead to accidents.
A traffic light system simplifies such situations by means of clear instructions, possibly supplemented by additional warning lights, for example when the right of way has to be given priority.
They can be used at intersections with corresponding traffic volumes, which can not be used for roundabouts.
Red is uniformly arranged all over the world at all times. This allows people with a red-green weakness or color blindness to get their bearings. In the case of transversal traffic lights, the red light is located in countries with right-hand traffic on the left, in countries with left-hand traffic on the right, consequently always in the middle of the road. In Switzerland, the green light was square, the yellow light was triangular.
The optical appearance usually consists of a black background with round or square light signals. Shielding shields, also known as shields, are installed for shielding against sunshine and the prevention of phantom light. If necessary, these additional black / white contrast panels are attached to the signal transmitters for better perception.
