StayAlive controller for decoders with no or limited provisions for direct energy storage connection

2 miniature gold caps can be connected via the ZIMO STACO3A

For connection (via wires) to the decoder pads or pins "Decoder Plus / Gem. Plus" and "Decoder MASSE".

The StayAlive controllers may only be operated with a maximum of 18 V rail voltage!

2 mini gold caps are connected to the StayAlive controller via wires; this allows all parts (decoder, STACO, gold caps) to be spatially distributed - in contrast to a massive "power pack". The board transforms the voltage of the gold caps (a total of 5.2 V for 2 gold caps; when fully charged, this drops to approx. 2 V over time) to 10 V, which is sufficient for the decoder's backup power supply in the event of wheel-rail contact interruptions (for drive and sound without loss of volume) and does not cause any interference, e.g. in service mode.
