Programming of CVs in "Service Mode" (on the programming track) and in "Operational Mode" (with RailCom for acknowledging and reading)

Updateable software: new software versions are loaded using the ZIMO decoder update device MXULF(A) from the USB stick or directly from the computer via ZSP ("ZIMO Sound Programmer") and MXULF or (planned) via MX10.

Dielectric strength: 24 V (all types)

FUNCTIONS and FUNCTION OUTPUTS:

Full NMRA function mapping for F0 - F12, as well as ZIMO extensions (direction-dependent assignments, etc.)

Dimming, flashing, American (Mars, Ditch, Strobe, ...) and other lighting effects (soft start, brake light, flickering, automatic timeout, ...)

High beam/low beam switching via function key, one-sided light suppression, etc.

"New" lighting effects: Switching on outputs depending on driving/standing still, direction, speed, shunting key, random, etc.

"ZIMO Swiss mapping" for complex lighting states depending on several function keys, with individually assignable dimming and flashing functions

"ZIMO Input mapping", especially for exchanging the function keys by the user without changing the actual configuration

The SECOND ADDRESS

This special feature of ZIMO function decoders and light boards can only be explained using the typical application:

in each car the SECOND ADDRESS is programmed to the address of the locomotive,

in each individual car a different CV set is activated so that the interior lighting is assigned to different function keys:

Car: CV #8 = 102 (CV set 102 activated) causes the following in operation for control via the SECOND address (i.e. locomotive address):

F13 ➔ Lforward or Lback + FA1 | F14 ➔ entire interior lighting)

Car: CV #8 = 104 (CV set 104 activated) causes the SECOND address (i.e. locomotive address) to be used for control:

F15 ➔ Lforward or Lback + FA1 | F16 ➔ entire interior lighting) etc.
