Basic position:

In the basic position, the monitoring signal shows a yellow light or a round yellow reflective surface. If the signal remains in this position, the train must stop in front of the level crossing and may only continue after the whistle signals have been given.

Level crossing secured:

The yellow flashing light shows that the automatic barrier or traffic light system is working properly.
